Whether your child loves playing piano or soccer, enjoys STEAM or dance, there are a number of different options to choose from including virtual, one-on-one and group classes with COVID-19 safety precautions in place

Ages 0+

The Greenwich Suzuki Academy is a comprehensive after-school music program for children age 0-18 years old. They offer Early Childhood Classes for babies and toddlers, and private lessons, group classes, and regular performance opportunities on violin, viola, cello and guitar for children ages 3-18. Their mission is to use Dr. Suzuki’s nurturing approach to music education to give children the tools to enrich their lives.

Bartlett Arboretum
The mission of the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is to provide a sanctuary and foster curiosity to explore, enjoy and learn about the habitats of the natural world. They provide comprehensive environmental, horticulture and plant science educational programs for children and adults, along with opportunities for recreation, enjoyment and exploration of the natural world for all ages. The preserved 93-acre sanctuary inspires generations to care about and conserve Earth’s resources.

Looking for a fun, educational, engaging and social activity for your child ages 0 – 10? Want to meet other moms and kids? Join a Music Together class outdoors, in your backyard/pod, or online and have fun singing, dancing and making music with your family and friends in a safe environment. The Fall semester begins now and spaces are filling up fast! Class types include: Babies (Interactive classes for new parents of infants under 8 months,) Mixed Ages (ages 0 -5, siblings can attend together), Rhythm Kids (Drum, dance, sing and create for ages 4-5 and 5- 8), Canta Y Baila Conmigo (Spanish and music immersion ages 0 – 5 ) and Ukelele (ages 6- 10).

Jumpin’ Jams
These “Hopin’ Music Classes” are designed for EVERYONE to have fun while children learn the basics of music through play. Kids will go on a musical train ride, get down and boogie, and check out different instruments while jamming along with fun, age appropriate music. Many of the movement based songs are designed to reinforce early language development and an understanding of the world around them.

Preschoolers are escorted by staff from car to classroom where protocols are in place to ensure a safe day for both staff and children alike. Daily temperature checks, rotating sanitizing schedules, small class sizes (10 or less) and designated areas for children, toys, and materials are just some of the steps they’ve put in place to ensure a safe learning experience.

Kids University
Ready to have FUN with friends?! Get out of the house, away from the computer and into some non-stop, action packed FUN. Kids U is offering classes this Fall for children ages 18 months – 8 years. Class sizes are limited in size and each class will have private access to the facility while they are there. Choose from Mommy and Me Gym, Drop Off Gym, Martial Arts, Ninja Warrior and a new 2 hour Combo class. All classes for children over age 3 are drop off. Are you looking to supplement or add to your child’s home activities this Fall? Try our Fall boxes! Containing three themes: apples, pumpkins and turkeys.

The Greenwich Conservatory offers exceptional classical ballet instruction to children ages 2-18, emphasizing proper ballet foundations, musicality, coordination, performance quality and overall quality of movement. Classes include ballet, technique, pointe, pre-pointe, contemporary, ballet conditioning and more. Please refer to the current class schedule and by-level class descriptions. Fall Semester runs Tuesday, September 8th – January 3rd. Classes are limited to 6 – 10 students maximum per class (3 per class for PreBallet2 with parent) for in-person classes and all classes have an online option.

Action Art School
Ages 3 1/2 to 13
Fun art classes for kids. Kids will draw out their ideas based on that week’s subject, then they will paint their sketch using their own imagination. Different mediums will be utilized through out the session, including canvas, watercolor, or a collage.

Old Greenwich Karate classes are held in a safe, well lit training hall, located in a building behind Action Art School on Sound Beach Ave. The floors are matted for student safety.

High Five Sports
Offering sports classes for kids ages Pre-K through 5th grade in small groups. Classes can be at-home or in local parks, with up to 8 children. All classes will be taught by certified teachers and strict CDC guidelines for safety will be enforced. Classes will run throughout the day for all of our age groups and will emphasize the fundamentals of each sport. Guidelines will be consistent with the states Standard for Physical Education so parents can use them as enrichment or an enhancement on a virtual Phys-Ed program.

OGTA offers development and competitive programs for children 4 years and older as well as match play practice and Junior USTA teams. For adults, OGTA offers clinics for all levels, weekly drop-in classes where you signup online, USTA teams, and ladies leagues. The session starts September 9.

Greenwich Cardinals Youth Hockey Association (GCYHA) is the only non-profit youth hockey organization in Greenwich serving boys and girls age 5-18.
