Bruce Park

Home to probably the most popular playground in town, there’s a ton to do for kids from new walkers through elementary school. Think: large sandbox, climbing structures, rocking rides and slides. Plus while your kids are playing, you can walk along the nature trails and take in the beautiful scenery.

Bible Street Playground

Neighborhood playground perfect for younger kids, with a small-ish slide and infant swings. Adjacent to large field for running around.

Cos Cob Park
Location: Sound Shore Drive, Cos Cob
This new playground has a separate section for kids under 3, with softer ground and smaller equipment. Bonus for parents—a spacious walking path for strollers and a gorgeous view of the water.

Greenwich Common
Location: 1 Sound View Ct, Greenwich
This is a small playground with picnic tables/field right downtown. Grab a coffee on the Ave. and take a breather from errands while the kids burn off some steam.

Greenwich Public Schools

When school’s not in session, the elementary schools have playgrounds perfect for older kids (and little brothers and sisters itching to keep up with them).

Loughlin Ave Playground
Location: Loughlin Ave., Cos Cob
Pick up a smoothie at Green & Tonic and walk over to this medium-sized playground with rocking alligators for little ones, and swings for kids of all ages. Adjacent to soccer field and paddle courts.

Pemberwick Park
Location: Pemberwick Rd., Greenwich
Standard playground fare for kids 2 to 12 years old.

William Street Playground
Location: Corner of Church St. & William St., Greenwich
Another downtown playground with activities for kids 2-12; there’s a basketball court for older kids and teens.

Greenwich Point Park

Usually referred to as “Tod’s Point,” this gorgeous green space on Long Island sound has it all—beach, picnic tables.

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park
Location: Arch St., Greenwich
Home to big events throughout the year, from Adopt-A-Dog to the Greenwich Wine + Food Festival.

Bruce Museum

and science. Also be sure to make time to have a coffee or lunch in the new Bruce Café,

Museum hours are:

  • Tuesday – Sunday, 10:00am to 5:00pm (last admission at 4:30)
  • Closed Mondays
  • Reservations are recommended but not required

    Maritime Aquarium

    We have 75 live exhibits featuring nearly 7,000 animals of 363 species. Your Long Island Sound journey begins along a freshwater river and the shallow waters of the salt marsh, then moves into deeper and deeper habitats out to the open ocean.
