About Greenwich Moms

A website by Greenwich moms for Greenwich moms

Are you looking for a one-stop-source for all kinds of Mommy (and Daddy!) information from kid-friendly restaurants to first haircuts to best strollers for suburbia? Are you a parent, new parent, expecting parent, or just interested? You have come to the right place. Naturally almost every conversation between parents is focused on kids and what to do with them. GreenwichMoms was created by a mom and long-time Greenwich resident seeking to go beyond word of mouth and offering an up-to-date, informational, and exciting reference for local families who have a lot of questions. Food, fun, schools, sports, parks, summer camps, music, dance, shopping, new products, tried and true products, at home activities, parties, events, museums, the list goes on! GreenwichMoms Blog covers a wide range of topics and experiences having to do with everything Greenwich (and beyond) and the joyous confusion that comes along with being a parent.

Layla Lisiewski

Layla Lisiewski is a mom of four and CEO of The Local Moms Network, a platform of local resources for moms by moms.  After graduating Brown University, where Layla studied international relations and was a Division 1 Lacrosse player, Layla spent six successful years at Merrill Lynch in NYC before becoming a Mom. Upon returning to her hometown of Greenwich, CT Layla was eager to connect and share resources with other moms and create a sense of community for herself, driven by a love for the town she lived in. It all started in Layla’s kitchen in Greenwich and fast forward 5 years, The Local Moms Network has established a national brand that is recognized as a parent’s modern-day connection to their community. “We exist to help moms and parents navigate all the choices they face and feel comfortable in their town by providing valuable trustworthy resources and opportunities for connection.”

Following her lifelong passion of horseback riding, Layla is also the Managing Director of the Greenwich Riding and Trails Association (GRTA). She is also a Greenwich Academy Alumni Board Member, Co-Chair of the Stamford Hospital Gala 2021 & Bruce Museum Gala 2022, a volunteer for Greenwich United Way, Greenwich Land Trust, and Breast Cancer Alliance and a content contributor for Greenwich Magazine.

Asya Geller

Asya Geller was born in Moscow, Russia and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. After graduating Cornell University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and passing the bar, Asya promptly left the legal field and took a job in marketing and ultimately landed in Business Development at Sotheby’s.   After 10 years, Asya left Sotheby’s in December 2019 as Head of Department, Client Development.  In 2020, Asya and Co-Founder, Talia Friedman, left Sotheby’s and launched WERKZY, the only online marketplace exclusively for small businesses searching for professional talent. But in an exciting pivot, in September 2021, WERKZY joined forces with the Local Moms Network and Asya will now be leading the efforts for partnership, outreach and events for the Greenwich Moms platform.

She currently lives in mid-country with her husband, Mike Geller, owner of Mike’s Organic Delivery, and sons, Nathan (5) and Charlie (3.5). She is also the Co-Chair of the Bruce Contemporaries, on the Development Committee of the Bruce Museum, and on the Board of Temple Sholom. She also volunteers for the United Way, Connecticut Against Gun Violence and Reach Prep.
