As a teacher, it is very apparent that the pandemic has drastically increased the learning gap for our children. We need to meet students where they are, and that means providing more scaffolding, differentiation, and support. I would like to offer private tutoring sessions to help support in closing these gaps! Whether virtual or in person, I am committed to helping ensure that our youth isn’t left behind due to the lack of normalcy.

Marie Bercik
Golden Spiral Prep

Marie holds a MA in Math Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University.

She has 15+ years experience privately tutoring for the SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE tests, as well as 8 years teaching math in a high school setting. Prior to coaching a student, she conducts an initial consultation to discuss target schools, scheduling preferences, prior prep/test scores, and potential strengths and weaknesses. Based on that evaluation, she creates a structured plan for the first few lessons and then adapts the curriculum to the needs of each individual.

Her students would describe her as structured and disciplined; she creates an efficient work environment to steer her students to their goals. If you’re serious about getting a competitive test score and you’re looking for a rigorous, structured tutor who knows everything about how these assessments are designed, Marie is the coach for you!
