SaksWorks to Debut on Greenwich Avenue! | Greenwich Moms

Hudson’s Bay Company, parent company of iconic department store Saks Fifth Avenue, has announced the launch of a new concept aiming to bring together work, life and wellness in a way that’s never been done before. Enter SaksWorks, a new membership club blurring the boundary between work and life featuring services and spaces to elevate the everyday.

With SaksWorks set to make its debut in Greenwich later this fall, we spoke with Kerry Mader, SaksWorks CEO, to get more insight on the new space, and how it will help moms when it comes to wellness.

What is SaksWorks all about?
SaksWorks is a new, innovative membership club bringing various wellness, life and work amenities under one roof. In addition to stylish work and meeting spaces, our members have access to cafes and fully operational on-site bars, fitness and stretching programming from service providers such as BDY SQD, wellness and beauty treatments including haircuts and styling, manicures and more, dry cleaning and even child care depending on the location. SaksWorks will also offer its space for private events ranging from corporate parties to weddings and mitzvahs, along with ongoing curated events for members. All locations will also include a retail component within them, featuring a rotating assortment of brands. SaksWorks will also host ongoing workshops, networking sessions and events for members. As we say, ‘it’s not just work, it’s the works.’”

What will the concept look like at the Greenwich location specifically?
SaksWorks has reimagined the Ralph Lauren mansion, transforming the iconic landmark into an all-in-one solution housing gathering space, wellness amenities and a full-service restaurant, Ruby & Bella’s.

Can you tell us more about Ruby & Bella’s?
Ruby & Bella’s celebrates contemporary American cooking in a comfortable and chic setting. The cuisine is inspired by local and seasonal ingredients simply prepared with regional and global flavors. Our dining room is lined with works from David Yarrow on a rotating exhibition from the Samuel Owen Gallery (located here in Greenwich). Guests are escorted through an intimate cocktail lounge that features city inspired recipes and past an oversized harvest table that features seasonal decor and produce. Rich green velvet banquets line the room with oversized French oak floors. The menu features approachable, better-for-you local selections such a simply seared Wild-Caught Salmon with Lemony Spinach as well as neighborhood classics such a Signature Chopped Salad and a Chicken Paillard. We will feature fan favorites, but each dish will be executed with seasonal ingredients.

Located inside the first-of-its-kind SaksWorks, providing elevated life/work flexible amenities at 265 Greenwich Avenue, the restaurant & bar will serve light breakfast, coffee all day, and lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday in the main dining room. Private dining can be reserved with any team member for special occasions and parties of 10+.

How will this new space help moms when it comes to wellness?
SaksWorks brings together work, life and wellness in a way that has never been done before – we’ve brought ‘everything you’d need’ for your day to day under one roof. I think I speak for many when I say that we tend to disregard our wellness needs – both mental and physical – in favor of our family’s. SaksWorks changes that mentality – an all-in-one solution, members can take a business call over coffee, enjoy pop up wellness amenities and beauty services, and enjoy a glass of wine at SaksWorks’ fully operational onsite bar, without leaving the building. It’s so important that mothers have “me time,” operating as a fully functioning person separate from their families. For this reason, we’re aiming to cater to as many of their individual and social needs as we can. That said, should parents need—or want!—to bring in their children, they are very welcome in our spaces. We even have a room with board games and toys.

When will it open—and will there be memberships?
The club will officially open its doors in late Fall 2021. Designed to be an accessible space for all, there’s no vetting process. All of our SaksWorks memberships include access to all of our spaces, including Ruby & Bella’s in Greenwich. We offer monthly and annual membership options to SaksWorks, along with day passes should anyone want to drop in without the commitment. We’re also proud to offer SaksWorks for private events.

■ Yearly Membership: $2,999/year

■ Monthly Membership: $299/mo

■ Day Pass: $49/day
