Riverside School is hosting the 36th annual Riverside Run on Saturday, May 11, 2019, commencing at 8:30am. For thirty-six years, this community event has taken runners on a scenic three-mile course through the neighborhood of Riverside..
The Riverside Run includes the main run, as well as a series of “Fun Runs” for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Fun Runs take place in the front of Riverside School. All participating children receive ribbons, and the top three winners of the runs will take home a medal.
“The Riverside Run is a long-standing tradition of the school and the community,” said Christopher Weiss, Principal, Riverside School. “Students, families and community members come together to participate, cheer on, and volunteer, and we look forward to hosting such a wonderful event every year.”
All participants will receive a race t-shirt and a take-away bag. Timing mats will be at the start and finish line to ensure accurate timing for the main run. Additionally, jogging strollers are now also welcome! Race day is Saturday, May 11th and races begin at 8:30am for the three-mile run and 9:30am for the Kids Fun Run.
Online registration is now open at www.rivpta.org. The registration fee for the three-mile run is $20 and the Kids Fun Run is $12. Proceeds support Riverside School PTA’s Arts & Science programs.
Runners who register before Monday, April 22nd will have their name printed on their race bib. The event also accepts “day of” registration before the race.
