New Nature Play Trail Set to Open This Weekend | Greenwich Moms

Audubon Greenwich is pleased to announce the opening of its newest amenity, the Nature Play Trail. This unique and interactive playscape–the first of its kind in Greenwich–will engage children of all ages in imaginative and active outdoor play in a safe space filled with native plants, trees, birds, and other local wildlife. The “Activity Stations” along the trail will offer children the chance to climb, slide, splash, build, play outdoor instruments, learn about water flow through a rain garden, and explore critters in a flowing creek.
Beginning at 10 a.m. with a live birds demonstration followed by a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. Visitors will then have the opportunity to meander through the interactive Nature Play space, woodlands, learning pond area, and historic apple orchard. Kids of all ages will be welcome to explore the trail’s Activity Stations and enjoy guided nature walks. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is stroller and wheelchair accessible.
