This weekend marks the unofficial beginning of summer and there is lots of family fun to be had! To honor our troops and celebrate the holiday, parades will take place all over town. Most are free to attend.
Byram Veteran’s Association Memorial Day Parade
All Veterans, civic organizations, schools and groups are invited to march. After the parade please join us at the club for some beverages and light food. In honor of all who have died serving our country.

Annual Glenville Memorial Day Parade and Service
The 9th District Veterans Association and the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company cordially invite you to the parade on Sunday, May 29. The parade route moves along Glenville Street from Walker Court to the Glenville Fire House. Following the parade, there will be a brief ceremony and wreath laying at the Veterans Monument adjacent to the Fire House. Refreshments will be served at the American Legion and the 9th District Veterans Association buildings following the ceremony. Held at 5:00 P.M. Children who are not part of Scouts of Mavericks teams are encouraged to patriotically decorate their bicycles and participate in the parade.

Jim Fixx Memorial Day Run
Join for the next segment of the Greenwich Cup, the Betteridge Jim Fixx Memorial Day Run, honoring Frank Keegan. This scenic 5 mile road race goes through downtown Greenwich and the surrounding parks and roadways. There is also a 1/2 mile race on the track for kids on the historic Havemeyer track.
