Meet Liz! | Greenwich Moms

Liz: I grew up in Yonkers, NY then after college I lived in Manhattan for seven years. I have been a Greenwich resident for five years. I have one son Benjamin and he is six.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Not a lot of people know I have a Masters Degree in Urban planning from NYU. I am definitely a secret nerd. I love to read, analyze trends and consumer patterns. So when I am walking on Greenwich Avenue I enjoy people watching and observing the Greenwich culture and shopping and restaurant choices people make. I think it is very valuable to my career as well.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My friends. As a single mom to an only child it can be tough. Fortunately I have found some amazing friends in the community. We bounce issues off one another and often make plans with our kids.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
My son and I love the beach and to go skiing. I started him in ski school two year ago and we go every year. On the opposite end of the spectrum is warm weather and any beach with big waves. I recently started to teach my son to Boogie Board we had a blast.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or within the corporate world? Please share!
Last year I went back to work once by son started kindergarten. It has been very exciting. I joined the Maygar Team at William Raveis and because of my team mates quickly dove into real estate sales. I have closed six rental transactions and helped sell a home in Long Island and I am closing a sale in Stamford next month. I pride myself on listening to my clients and helping them find a home that they can afford and provides them with the lifestyle they are looking for. I am also involved with the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital which is the trauma center for our region. I also try to stay active in my son’s school and coached soccer last year.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Yes it has. Greenwich is a very dynamic place to live. There are many opportunities for employment, an array of social options and activities as well as volunteer opportunities. Access to all of these things has helped launch my career and balance it with raising my son.
