One of the best parts of growing up in this town and now raising my own children here, is being able to help newcomers navigate this town, its communities and neighborhoods while helping them find their dream home.
It has been a gift to come full circle and not only settle here but help others call Greenwich home. My family and I have lived in Riverside since 2012, we were in Rowayton before that. I have 3 children, two boys Quinn (10), Teddy (7) and a daughter Addie (5).
What is local go-to store for children’s clothes, shoes and furniture?
Target has the best kid’s line named Cat & Jack, it is honestly where I buy everything from snow suits to shoes for the kids. They often have cute replicas of Crew Cuts but for a fraction of the price. Given how often we change clothes and sizes, it is a game changer.
For kid’s furniture I buy a lot online, as Amazon is so immediate and I can shop at any hour of the day. I am a full time working mom so late night shopping is a must.
What is your favorite event in Greenwich, Riverside/OG:
My absolute favorite event each year is B*CURED’s annual fundraiser, this year named THE B*CURED BALL. It is on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Chelsea Piers CT. B*CURED, a local non priofit, that funds vital research for brain cancer, which is sorely underfunded. My mom Kathryn Clauss died of brain cancer in 2013 after an eight month battle with the horrendous disease and I have been a principle in the organization ever since. The event is wonderfully laid back; it happens on the indoor turf, with a tailgate theme, catering by Nikki Glekas, spinning by DJ April Larken and an awesome silent auction. The event is possible because of a dedicated team of volunteers and some very generous sponsors; Houlihan Lawrence is the lead sponsor for the 4th year in a row. And Minchin Buick, DeRosa Builders and Spiked Seltzer are also sponsoring the event.

What is your favorite Restaurant in Greenwich, Riverside/OG:
I love Le Fat Poodle in the summer, on the terrace in Old Greenwich. They serve French food in a beautiful setting. Valbella is an all year round favorite in Riverside/OG; it is an old school Italian gem that serves ice cold martinis and great food. And Louies is the best, Polpo’s brother property. In the winter, my kids and I love having dinner by the fire.
What are your favorite kid-friendly recipes:
We do tons of turkey tacos. And roasted Brussels sprouts and broccoli are a staple. I clean the veggies, add a touch of olive oil, salt and pepper and heat the oven to 400 degrees. Pop them in for 20 minutes. They are an instant hit. If I get the greens in front of them first, they are less likely to hit the junk food drawer (which yes, we do have one of those too!). We always have a big jug of water with fresh ginger and lemon – makes drinking plain water more fun.
Favorite Hobbies:
My boys are both in GBA basketball and GYL Lacrosse. They absolutely love it. And it is great because my children can meet kids from all over town and different schools and play with them on the weekends. My daughter starts her first season of GYL lacrosse this spring and I am her coach – Yikes! I haven’t played a lot since GA and college, but can’t wait to get back out there. It is so fun to see them all enjoy sports too. My daughter Addie also dances at Greenwich Dance Studio and my boys Quinn and Teddy love to compete in local chess tournaments.
