Meet Cindy! | Greenwich Moms

Cindy: I grew up in Riverside and now live in OId Greenwich. I lived in Riverside most of my life, until last year when my husband, Richard, and I completed building a house in Old Greenwich.
We have two kids: Christopher, age 6 and Charlotte, who just turned 5 in February.
While I am lucky to be the recipient of a lot of hand-me-down clothes from my friends, when I shop for my kids, I go to Children’s Place, Gap and Old Navy for day-to-day clothes. I get most of their shoes online from Stride Rite and Geox, but if I need to get shoes locally, I go to Little Eric’s. Furniture is from Ikea and Pottery Barn kids.
I have so many events that I love! I love all of the parades, especially now that my son is a Cub Scout and marches in them. During the winter, I love the Old Greenwich First Light, Greenwich Holiday Stroll, The Junior League’s Enchanted Forest, and the Santa breakfast at the Civic Center. During the spring, I love all of the carnivals. In the summer, I love the Greenwich Town Party, the 4th of July fireworks, and the Sandblast at Greenwich Point. In the fall, I love the Old Greenwich Pumpkin Patch.
The kids like Little Pub or Abis. If we are going out as a couple, we love Harvest, Barcelona, Little Thai Kitchen, Mumbai Times, Duoro and Firenze. If it’s a really special occasion, we go to Rebecca’s.
What is your favorite kid-friendly recipe?
My kids are really picky eaters, so I stick to the regulars: grilled cheese, Macaroni and cheese, pasta with meatballs, and on occasion, hotdogs.
As a family, we love geocaching (outdoor game where you search for hidden objects using GPS coordinates). Geocaching brings us to new parks and areas in town and the kids love finding the geocache, which usually contains little treasure troves. We also like sports and my kids can be found on the weekends playing fall soccer with the Aldwin and spring tball with Cos Cob TBall. My husband coaches both sports for both kids.
My husband and I are both attorneys and have our own trusts and estates firm located on Sherwood Avenue. I’m also a sustainer in the Junior League of Greenwich and am a class mom for both my daughter’s preschool class at Children’s Day School and my son’s first grade class at North Mianus School. I’m also a member of the NMS PTA.
