Ashley: I was born in NYC. We moved to Greenwich when I was 11 even though I lived in NYC after college I worked in Greenwich and was always visiting my parents so I never felt like I really moved away… so you could say 26 years!
I have three children, twins that are four and a three year old. They are really Irish triplets, 11 months apart!
I love to shop for their clothes at Jacadi and Hoaglands. My absolute favorite though is Diane’s books. They create such a magical world with their book selection and I remember when the twins were born receiving these little red wagons filled with books and toys for them, such an amazing start to their book collection.
There are so many events in Greenwich that are not only a fabulous time but they support local charities that are so important to this community such as Go Wild, the Breast Cancer Alliance, Family centers and the Boys and Girls Club. One of my favorites though is the B’Cured Event at Chelsea Piers, it is for an incredible cause and one that is particularly close to my heart.
I love sitting in the bar at Polpo for date night because you never know what might happen when the piano player starts. I love boxcar for family dinners, Chips and guacamole make everyone happy!
I call it the orange dinner! I make the kids salmon under the broiler with just lemon and olive oil with baked sweet potato and then cut up orange peppers as the veggie. They always get a kick out of the shades of orange.
My not so healthy meal would be my French toast which I take brioche from the kneaded bread and soak it in a pan of milk, eggs cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin pie spics with some vanilla the kids love to put everything in the pan together and we don’t worry about measuring. They always eat it so I think it has to be okay! Can’t beat anything covered in syrup.
I used to have a lot of hobbies that I know I will return to one day when the kids are older but for now my passion is my jewelry business. All of my spare time and energy goes into curating the collection and my designs. I have been in fine and estate jewelry for fifteen years and I finally decided to start my own business last year, which has been a labor of all my jewelry loves : fine fashion jewelry, estate pieces as well as my own designs.
