Adriana: I was born in Caracas to Italian parents and spent my formative years in Milan, Italy prior to moving to Fairfield County in elementary school. My parents threw a dart at a map and although we had roots in Los Angeles, they chose Fairfield County because of the excellent schools and quality of life. I spent my childhood years creating memories and cultivating relationships between Greenwich and Westport. Eight years ago, we moved back to Fairfield County so that my children could enjoy the same fulfilling childhood that I experienced.
I have two boys-who were both born in Greenwich, CT. My 31/2 year old is nicknamed the “wrecking ball” because everything he touches seems to break whether it’s accidental or intentional! He is slowly becoming more prudent. He’s very outgoing and never misses an opportunity to engage someone in an “intellectual” conversation. He recently started at the French American School in Westchester and has quickly made nice friends. My 10 month old is a total sweetie-pie and charms each and every person that crosses his line of site.
I am a chameleon! No seriously, no one would ever guess that I have an international background and speak three languages. I am a native Italian speaker as well as a Francophile. Since I was school-age, my mother wanted me to take French. I begrudgingly chose French over Spanish classes in school and that is when my love affair with the French language and culture began. Soon after, I spent summers at the American University in Paris and continued with a minor in French at Fordham University. Ultimately, I married into one of the largest French families in the area and the man of my dreams. You will often see me at the various French café’s on Greenwich Ave enjoying la bonne cuisine.
My close group of working mommy friends. I also work in a very supportive environment at Catamount Wealth Management, which is hard to come by in finance. My team is great to bounce ideas off of and they empathize with me on various life and mommy issues. Fit4Mom in Greenwich was especially helpful to me in the early stages of being a first time mom as they provided me with a community of like-minded women who had experienced or were experiencing similar trials and challenges.
I live in a house full of boys so thank goodness I love to cook because boy do they love to eat! As a little girl, I watched my grandmother and mother effortlessly cook amazingly fragrant and delicious meals and since then, I have been passionate about entertaining, creating healthy meals comprised of the freshest seasonal ingredients, pairing the wines and sharing it all with my family and friends. I would like my boys to experience cooking and food the way I did as a child so I frequently involve them in my kitchen adventures. The boys in my house love cars, so anything car related is a win! The entire family enjoys going to local car shows and going up to Lime Rock for vintage and newer car races. And of course, The Junior League’s “Touch-A-Truck” in Greenwich is the go-to event for us every summer.
I work for a firm called Catamount Wealth Management, which is heavily involved in giving back and supporting local charities. We offer a women’s empowerment series called “Conversations with Catamount,” voluntarily, to help educate and inspire women in the Fairfield County community. I am a member of the Junior League of Greenwich and love volunteering as it is also a great way for me to broaden my professional and personal skills. In addition, my husband and I are actively involved in various local and national charities, including War Child and the American Cancer Society.
By getting involved in the community I have been able to meet many wonderful people who have inspired me. Fortunately, I am very passionate about what I do because it enables me to get to know people on a deeper level and to help them with their life, family, and businesses. Anyone who knows me, knows that fitness is my life line. The community at Equinox in Greenwich has provided me with daily inspiration to perform my very best during my workouts and in life.
