Date Night or Moms Night Out? 4 Local Breweries to Try! | Greenwich Moms

Whether you’re looking for date night, (or day date) spot, a place to catch up with friends or even a place to let the kids run around a bit in a casual environment while you have a beer and a bite, these local breweries are some to consider—just in time for National Drink Beer Day on September 28!

Broken Bow Brewery

Tuckahoe, NY

This family owned brewery has outdoor seating, and is open through October (weather permitting). Play a game of cornhole while sipping on seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Spice Oktoberfest and Lucy’s Strawberry Sour Wheat Ale.

Half Full

Stamford, CT

This weekend, stop by their Oktoberfest for brews, food trucks, music and more! Any time of year, they have fun programming and a full lineup of in-house brews, including their perennially popular Bright Ale and their limited releases (right now, our fave is the Positively Pumpkin).

Lock City Brewing

Stamford, CT

This brewery is small with an intimate feel, but has a wide variety of options, from their Shake Your Booty IPA to Original Blend Cider. Visit them on Saturday at the New Canaan Nature Center’s Harvest Festival.

Wolf & Warrior Brewing Company

White Plains, NY

This new (opened in January!) brewery sources all of its grain locally from within New York State, and turns it into varieties from Pale Ale to IPA. With seating for over one hundred people, it’s a popular spot for parties and corporate events.

Honorable Mention: For anyone skipping alcohol these days, we love Athletic Brewing, a non-alcoholic choice that actually tastes like the real deal. Founded in Stratford two years ago, it’s available in Greenwich at Whole Foods, Greenwich Wine and Greenwich Wine & Spirit, you can order it at Douro and JuicePress.
