Does anyone else feel like their wardrobe needs a little—maybe a lot—of help right now? After a year of shopping only for quarantine-friendly athleisure, we’re not even sure where to start updating our summer closet. So we turned to Katie Fong, one of our favorite Greenwich Moms and owner of Katie Fong the Boutique, to get her advice.
Katie’s beautiful store carries her own made-to-order Collection of wedding and special occasion pieces, as well as silk separates that work dressed up or down. She also stocks cashmere, jewelry and accessories. But she’s not only a talented designer and business owner—she has gorgeous personal style. Like many of us, the past year-plus (and having a toddler!) has made her simplify her wardrobe. “The number one thing that has changed the most is having pieces in my closet that can go from day to evening or from work to pick up. Garments that I do not need to think twice about are what I have been gravitating to most!” shares Katie. Below, she shares her five go-to, mom uniform pieces.
Bias Slip Dress by Katie Fong
Katie Says: OurBias Slip Dress is a new favorite in the shop and loved by many of my customers. It can be made in over 300 colors and at any length. It is reversible—so you can rock the shiny side to be dressier and matte side for a more casual look. The best part is it is unlike so many bias dresses out there.
