How do you approach January? Here at Festivities, its ready, set, go!! New menu ideas, lots of happy times to design and plan. But first we need to clean up 2016!!
Organizing- what is it about January that we are all compelled to start “organizing”?
We organize everything, but have you ever thought about organizing your “party closet”?
My husband is trying to get me to get rid of some of my party favorites (okay, I have a lot!!)
What makes hospitality work is being prepared! If you have a closet or part of a closet, this plan would make life so much easier. We actually have closets we bought at Home Depot.
If you know where you have your wine glasses (first things first!), your special platters, your favorite cheese board, candles, cocktail napkins and the list goes on, you are always ready when the mood or occasion arises to entertain.
The key to REALLY being ready? A catering trick! We cover all our platters in plastic wrap, even our wine glasses (just on top) so that when we are ready, everything is clean and ready to go!
Winter Wisdom- it’s snowing and the kids are inside looking for activities!
And we always want it to be F&E (fun and easy)
How about snowflake pancakes?
Make pancakes per directions of your choice
Place baggie over the top of a mason jar (holds baggie in place)
Once ½ filled, lift out, fold over the top, and snip one corner of the bag
Heat griddle and let the kids make their “snowflake” pancakes!
The artist in all of us! Once the snow stops, and the kids are ready to go outside!
Plan ahead and have a few spray bottles available.
Fill with water and food coloring to make favorite colors.
our kids can go out into the snow and make their own snow art!
Entertaining!
Super Bowl favorites for fans of all ages! You don’t want
to miss a minute of the game so here are a few of our favorites
to make it F&E (fun and easy).

What’s better than your own “taco” Shooter?
Layered refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, fresh salsa and cheddar cheese! Pair with mounds
of blue corn chips, tortilla chips and don’t forget the gluten free chips so all can enjoy!!
Because we LOVE TO EAT, we love everything in small
bites.. we can graze through lots of yummy foods.
Here’s a kid-friendly (of all ages) fav-
