Indoor Fun! | Greenwich Moms

This week, we are sharing some of our favorite family-friendly activities that do not require leaving the house. We will list a few activities at a time because there are so many hours in the day to fill up with (indoor) fun!
A treasure hunt is a fun way to keep the kids occupied but it can also be educational. Try using bean bags with letters of the alphabet http://www.amazon.com/Educational-Insights-3045-EDUCATIONAL-INSIGHTS/dp/B0009JI3S8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453233573&sr=8-1&keywords=alphabet+bean+bags Hide them around the house and ask the kids to come up with a word that starts with the letter on the bean bag. For older children, ask them to think of an animal, place, or thing that starts with the letter they find.
Fort building is a favorite past time in our house. The kids love the Crazy Forts which can be found at Smart Kids http://www.sktoys.com. If they don’t have them in stock, the kind staff members can order them for you. Recommended for ages 5+. You can always build them the good old fashioned way with furniture and sheets.

Pizza and Movie night is a great way to get the family together. The prep can be a fun way to have the kids create a comfortable space with all the pillows from your couch and some cozy blankets. The kids can also help prepare the food. You can buy the dough and all the fixings from Whole Foods and make your own pizzas!
