For the next two weekends, traffic will be detoured off of Route 1 and off of I-95 in Stamford at Exit 9 as the Connecticut Department of Transportation replaces the Route 1 bridge using what they call an Accelerated Bridge Construction process.
MAJOR DELAYS ARE EXPECTED Friday, May 31 at 11 p.m. – Monday, June 3 at 5 a.m. and again Friday, June 7 at 11 p.m. – Monday, June 10 at 5 a.m. During those times, motorists are strongly advised to AVOID THIS AREA.
