Please find below a list of FAQs to help answer common questions:

When are tickets going on sale?

There will not be a one-day ticket sale, as in prior years. A ticket lottery will open June 1, 2018 and continue through September 4, 2018. Actual ticket sales transactions will take place after the lottery is conducted and winners are notified.

How many tickets will be available?

There will be 6,000 Community (general admission) tickets for 2019 (including adults, children and seniors).

What is the maximum number of tickets per ticket purchase transaction?

6 adult and 6 children or 4 senior and 6 children.

What is the process for entering the lottery if I want to purchase both Community and Senior tickets?

You will need to submit an application for Senior tickets, as well as an application for Community tickets. You may use your same email for both application submissions. Please note that if you win the lottery, you will only be able to purchase up to the number of tickets submitted on the winning application; the two applications will not be tied together. Seniors may apply for and enter the event with Community tickets. But adults under age 65 should not submit an application for Senior tickets, as Senior tickets may only be used by adults ages 65+.

When will entrants be notified?

All entrants will be notified of status once lottery has closed and winners have been chosen. On or about September 17, 2018.

Are the Greenwich residents / employees who purchase tickets allowed to bring non-residents as their guests?

Yes.

When will the lottery close?

The lottery will close on September 4 at 5:00PM. The winners will be randomly selected after the lottery closes. Within approximately 2 weeks of the lottery close, GTP will notify all applicants (lottery winners and non-winners) of their status. On or about September 17, 2018.

When will the lottery-winning ticket purchasers receive their tickets?

Lottery winners will be notified by email in mid-September that they have won the lottery to purchase tickets. They will be provided a link with a unique one-time-use code. Once the ticket purchase is complete, tickets will be delivered (delivery method TBD).

Will people be able to purchase tickets at Town Hall?

No. For 2019, lottery winners will only be available to purchase tickets online at greenwichtownparty.org

Is the Greenwich Town Party affiliated with the Town of Greenwich?

No. The Greenwich Town Party is not affiliated with the Town of Greenwich.

How much money does this event cost the Town of Greenwich?

The Greenwich Town Party has no cost to the Town of Greenwich. The GTP is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit; privately funded through generous contributions from residents and businesses, and, in part, through ticket sales. All proceeds support the sustainability of the event.

How many times can I enter the lottery?

In order to be fair to all, we ask that only one Community ticket application and/or one Senior ticket application are submitted per family. For each ticket application, the system will permit one entry per unique email address. The GTP will also implement a verification process to confirm unique email identities.

Why are people able to purchase 6 tickets at a time?

The ticket purchase maximums allow people to purchase enough tickets to accommodate families.

Why can Greenwich Town Party tickets only be purchased by Greenwich residents, Greenwich business owners, employees of Greenwich companies and organizations, and Greenwich students?

The goal of the GTP is to unite a large and diverse Town of Greenwich, made up of several different neighborhoods, behind one common purpose – to celebrate our community.

IMPORTANT: ALL CHILDREN MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ATTEND THE EVENT.
Children under 12 are free, but require tickets which can be added in application.

PLEASE NOTE:
Greenwich Town Party (GTP) Tickets may only be purchased by those who live, work or attend school in Greenwich. All submitted applications will be verified for Greenwich residency, employment or academic enrollment. If billing zip code is not within the Town of Greenwich, the GTP will verify the applicant via proof of residency, employment or academic enrollment. No exceptions.

80% of each Community ticket is generously funded by individual and corporate sponsors of the GTP.
