Greenwich Girls Scouts are kicking off cookie booth sales this week. Troops will be selling their iconic cookies at various locations around Greenwich for the month of March. Troops will also be collecting donations for Cookies for Heroes which sends cookies to servicemen and women in the US Military as well as veterans.
Girl Scouts are also happy to hand deliver cookies to anyone who cannot attend one of the cookie booths. To place an order for home or work delivery email [email protected].
The proceeds from cookie sales stay local, meaning that when consumers purchase the delicious cookies from a Girl Scout, they’re giving back to their wider community.
The cookie program teaches Girl Scouts business management, marketing, sales, customer service, and also cyber safety skills. A recent Girl Scout Research Institute study also found girls who participate in the program could learn five crucial life skills such as goal setting, decision making, and money management.
