Greenwich 2025 Summer Bucket List - Greenwich Moms

Although many of our kids have exciting camp plans, there are also many days this summer they may not, and we want to help you have as much fun as possible, and keep your little ones busy and engaged throughout the summer! That’s why we’ve put together the 2025 Greenwich Bucket List! Scroll down for a list of our favorite activities to do in Greenwich and the surrounding towns to keep everyone smiling daily and to help your family build amazing memories of Summer 2025 – whether you want to go somewhere local for a couple of hours, or take a day trip, we have you covered!

In Greenwich

  1. Take a Ferry for a Day Trip to Island Beach
  2. Go for a hike at Babcock Preserve, Montgomery Pinetum, or Pomerance Park
  3. Head to Tod’s Point for a Beach Day and visit the Bruce Museum Seaside Center for a touch tank, arts and crafts and many more adventures with Coastal Critters  
  4. Check out the current exhibitions at the New Bruce Museum, dine at their Aux Delices cafe, and end the day at the Bruce Park Playground!  The “Summer Weekends 2025 Kids are Free at the Bruce” program will begin on Saturday, July 5 and run through Sunday, August 31. During this time, up to four children per accompanying adult can enjoy weekends at the Bruce without paying the $15 admission fee.
  5. Head to the Greenwich Audubon for a Hike or one of their outdoor programs
  6. Participate in a story time at one of the Greenwich Libraries, or join us for our 2024 Summer Reading program, Choose Your Adventure, from June 10 through August 2. 
  7. Visit the Turtles at Binney Park and stop by the playground 
  8. Play in the splash pad or go swimming at the pool at Byram Park
  9. Head to Make Modern, crafting studio that offers weekly classes in crafting, machine sewing, knitting, needlepoint, and crochet for kids and adults.
  10. Watch an Outdoor Movie at Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on July 21 –
  11. Explore the Old Greenwich Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays or Greenwich Farmer’s Market on Saturdays
  12. Attend the Summer Concert Series
  13. Join the Historical Society for Music on the Great Lawn
  14. Go out for ice cream in Greenwich – here’s a list of our favorite places!

In Fairfield and Westchester

  1. On a hot day, head to RPM in Stamford for Bowling or the Arcade
  2. Visit the Stamford Nature Center and see the animals
  3. Visit the Maritime Aquarium
  4. Visit the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport
  5. Check out the Stepping Stones Museum 
  6. Play mini golf at Norwalk Cove Mini Golf or Saxon Woods Mini Golf in White Plains
  7. Take a ride on the rollercoasters at Rye Playland
  8. Drop-in for an activity at Chelsea Piers

Take A Day Trip!

  1. Head to Lake Compounce for some water park fun! 
  2. Splash and explore at the Dinosaur Place in Montville, CT with a 60 acre outdoor theme park with over 50 life sized dinosaurs, a Splash Pad, T-Rex Tower and more
  3. Take a Day Trip to Mystic, CT and visit the Mystic Aquarium  and Mystic Pizza 
  4. Explore the many rides and attractions at Legoland in Goshen, NY, or stay overnight at the Lego Hotel
  5. Visit NYC! The possibilities are truly endless… but here are a few to get you started:
    1. Head to the Bronx Zoo
    2. Visit the Intrepid Museum for airplanes, submarines and so much more.
    3. Skyscape Museum for a super fun interactive spy experience!
    4. Children’s Museum of Manhattan
    5. Museum of Ice Cream
    6. Sloomoo Institute
    7. Museum of Natural History –  check out the new Allison and Roberto Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals
