Girls with Impact & JLG Helps Girls During COVID-19 | Greenwich Moms

Working with kids at home ranges from being hard to impossible. That’s why Girls with Impact, a Greenwich-based non-profit providing leadership opportunities, is offering incredible virtual camps, academy, workshops and more! Developed with Harvard experts, the program pushes girls towards college acceptance, scholarships, employment, and graduate school. If your daughter is going to be missing out at camp, consider enrolling her in their Future Ready Skills course, which consists of a three class mini-series and single day workshops; topics range from innovation to college prep. And while she’s learning, you can be working. “Heading into Summer, the challenges for working parents are even more fierce,” said Jennifer Openshaw, CEO of Girls with Impact. The summer sessions start June 8, with a 20 student limit.

In addition, on May 15, the Junior League of Greenwich recognized Girls with Impact with one of its two annual Community Awards. The $5,000 award will help Girls With Impact complete its mission, funding 18 girls from low to moderate income backgrounds locally to enroll in a 5-day summer camp program at UCONN Stamford.
