Greenwich Library Signature Series: Photographer Brian Skerry – Ocean Soul

April 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

.

Greenwich Library’s Signature Series is pleased to welcome award-winning photographer and film producer specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments, Brian Skerry.

Earth is an ocean world.  Through the lives of marine animals and ecosytems, we see global threats and find hope in solutions that nurture the sea’s resiliency.

Brian Skerry has been exploring Earth’s ocean for more than four decades, having worked on every continent and in nearly every underwater ecosystem.  In Ocean Soul, Brian weaves together the visual stories he has created as an award-winning photojournalist and film producer, resulting in a gripping portrait of the ocean as a place of beauty and mystery, a place in trouble, and ultimately, a place of hope that will rebound with the proper attention and care.

Blending his stunning photography from dozens of feature stories for National Geographic Magazine with exciting, behind-the-scenes videos showcasing how he ‘got the picture,’ Ocean Soul delivers a rare, intimate, and passionate experience.

This program will not be live-streamed or recorded.

Books will be available for purchase and signing following the program. Books provided by Diane’s Books.
