Greenwich Library Friends Friday Films: Driving Madeleine, with Reel Talk Speaker Joe Meyers

April 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A cab drive through Paris ends up forging a strong attachment between the disaffected driver and his fare, an elderly woman reminiscing about the many chapters of her life during her last drive through the city. Her warmth belies some shocking aspects of her past, in this moving drama powered by the sweet chemistry of its leads, Line Renaud and Dany Boon.

Not rated; for adults; contains brief violent imagery. 1h 31m. French with English subtitles.

Reel Talk: After the film, stay with us for a Q&A with Joe Meyers, the Director of Programming for the Focus on French Cinema festival. An experienced reporter of many years, Meyers has shared his film criticism in print for many publications including the Connecticut Post and Greenwich Time.
