Greenwich Historical Society – Springtime with Sleepy Cat Farm: Trellis Talk and Demonstration with Alan Gorkin

Join us in welcoming springtime with Alan Gorkin, Estate Manager and Head Gardener of Sleepy Cat Farm. Gorkin will demonstrate a simple trellis with lashings accompanied by diagram handouts, sharing tips and tricks with participants as they learn to create their own trellis at home.

The talk and demonstration will be followed by a discussion of best growing practices for several plants, trellis benefits, ideal combinations and growing hints. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a collection of heirloom seeds and/or plants (vegetables and flowers) to use at home to create their own design.
