Greenwich Botanical Garden – The PRFCT Earth Project: The Path To PRFCT

April 29 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for a conversation with Toshi Yano, Director of the PRFCT Earth Project, about redefining what it means to be perfect in the garden. To be PRFCT is to work with (not against) nature toward an ideal that’s toxic-free, biodiverse, and beautiful; to no longer control nature into an outdated idea of perfection that has been pruned, mowed, and sprayed into submission. PRFCT Earth envisions gardens that are vibrant ecosystems, teeming with native plants and humming with wildlife. In other words, PRFCT.

Toshi Yano comes to Perfect Earth Project from Wethersfield Estate and Gardens, a 1,000-acre landscape in New York’s Hudson Valley, where he was the Director of Horticulture. He is a Director At Large at the American Public Gardens Association, where he chairs the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility Committee; a co-founder of BIPOC Hort, an advocacy group for people of color working in designed landscapes; and a member of the Design Council at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.

This event is hosted in proud partnership with The Town of Greenwich Sustainability Committee.
