Each afternoon will be a fun-filled exploration of the Bruce Museum’s current exhibitions. These hands-on programs are designed for children ages 6-12 years. Tuesday, August 2, 1:00-4:00pm: Art of Nature
Our afternoon will be spent exploring the Art of Nature with activities inspired by Flora and Fauna: Drawings by Francesca Anderson. Activities will include scratch board printing, nature journaling and natural object collaging.
Wednesday, August 3, 1:00-4:00pm: Zoom, Soar, Crash! Fun with Physics
Spend the afternoon exploring simple physics concepts through fun, hands-on experiments that zoom, soar and crash! Activities are inspired by photographs from the Museum’s Science and Motion exhibition and will include paper airplane making and gravity powered rollercoasters.
Thursday, August 4, 1:00-4:00pm: Color Day – Prepare to Get Messy!
Wear your favorite color and prepare to get messy! We will be outside mixing, painting and playing with all of the colors of the rainbow. Activities will include tie-dying, splatter painting and color combat!
