ONS Urgent Ortho Care was launched on June 19 to provide busy Greenwich families with the flexibility they need. “The doctors wanted to provide patients with a fast, cost-effective and convenient after-hours care,” says Sally Frank, Chief Operating Officer at ONS (short for Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists). They’re welcoming new and existing patients, and would be happy to help you or your family. Says Frank: “Quality care and convenience is a hallmark at ONS. Patients who do not have time to see an ONS specialist during regular business hour are welcome to seek care after hours. A visit to ONS Urgent Ortho Care doesn’t have to be the result of sudden injury or accident.” Here’s what else you should know about this new local resource:

Going May Increase Your Chances of Healing Correctly

In most cases, an injury has the best chance for full recovery if treatment is administered as close to the event as possible. ONS physicians are board-certified orthopedic surgeons. They are specialty trained to diagnose and treat common and uncommon injuries of the musculoskeletal system and are on the forefront of developments in the field. Patients can be sure they will receive state-of-the-art care for their particular condition or injury.

You’ll Be Seen Fast

Depending on the type of injury, ONS Urgent Care patients are typically seen, treated and discharged within thirty minutes to an hour. The office is efficiently designed to assess the full extent of an injury and take a digital x-ray, to diagnose the problem within minutes. When appropriate, treatment can include casting, or providing a brace, boot, sling, whatever a patient needs to begin getting better right away.

ONS Specialists are On-Site

ONS physicians and Physician Assistants see urgent care patients. If follow up appointments are necessary, patients will see the orthopedic specialists that is best for their condition.
