Summer Theatre of New Canaan’s productions are performed outdoors under a state-of-the-art Tent Theatre. The stage of the Tent Theatre is covered by an all-weather, open-air tent protecting the adience from rain and sun. Nestled at the bottom of a hill in Waveny Park, the Tent Theatre also has slope-side and open field seating for picnics and lawn chairs. A visit to one of our shows morning, matinee or evening, makes for a wonderful and unique trip to the theatre! There is Convenient parking located in the New Canaan High School parking lot adjacent to the Tent Theatre entrance. The Tent Theatre is accessible to all, with assistance provided upon request.
Stage-side and orchestra box tables for up to six people are available for dining and picnicking prior to and during the performances. Field seating opens 90 minutes prior to performances. The Box Office opens one hour prior to the performances. The Tent Theatre opens 30 minutes prior to start of performance for general admission.
Concessions with drinks, snacks and souvenirs are provided prior to the start of the performance and during intermission.
