Sometimes I don’t realize how badly I need some “me time” until after I take some me time. With so many moving parts in a busy mom’s life, the thought of planning even the shortest of getaways can be daunting. My solution? I take advantage of a luxurious spa day, delicious cuisine, and serene accommodations all right here in our own backyard.
A Day at the Delamar Spa
The moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by friendly faces and attentive service. The spa offers everything to pamper the most mentally and physically drained moms and the moms who “have it all together”. The Valmont skin-brightening facial was my pick of the day (and probably the best decision I made since having my third child).
Stephanie at the spa is a pro. She carefully selected a number of sweet-scented Valmont products that would best suit my skin type. 1 hour later, I emerged a new person. My skin was radiant and glowing and I felt completely refreshed. After soaking it all in in the relaxation room, it was time to get ready for dinner!
There’s Dinner and then There’s Dining
We checked in to our rooms with beautiful views of the water and after getting washed up, we made our way to L’escale for a dining experience that blew me away. I have been to L’escale more times than I am years of age but this time was particularly memorable. The ambiance of dining fireside with friends was magical and the food was fantastic! I devoured every last morsel from the chef’s selection: a fresh winter salad, a decadent duck dish, and a warm apple crumble for dessert!
The evening had just begun! Just kidding… we were off to sleep. 8 lovely uninterrupted hours of sleep and we were ready to take on the world. A huge thank you The Delamar and L’escale Restaurant for hosting us for some much needed R&R!
