For almost 40 years, Bridges has offered high quality early childhood education to our community. As a progressive school inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we provide a child-centered, play-based approach encouraging children to discover their own interests, with their own words, which helps to define who they are. In collaboration with the Greenwich Botanical Center, we offer a unique after-school Forest Days program for our 4’s and Connectors.

CP Kids is a fun-filled place where little ones learn through play and actively boost their language, cognitive, social/emotional, and motor skills. Kids dive into hands-on experiences that spark their curiosity about the world around them and let them explore new ideas and materials. We use a cool integrated curriculum to tie everything together and help them really get it.

Every day, students spread out in our spacious, light-filled classrooms, picking from a bunch of super cool learning paths. They dive into open-ended materials that let them test their ideas and explore different art mediums like paint, clay, collage, construction, and pencil drawing. This kind of play encourages non-linear thinking, experimentation, and taking creative risks—key ingredients for creative expression. Our fantastic music program takes them on an exciting journey, starting with discovering their own voices—their first instrument—and moving on to reading and writing music.

Since 1957, First Presbyterian Church Nursery School, Greenwich has nurtured children with love, laughter and learning. At Gan of Greenwich Preschool, your child is offered a comprehensive curriculum that includes reading readiness, concepts in numbers, science investigations, social studies, music and movement and art experiences. At Tamim Academy, your child is receiving the most top quality transitional kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade program. We teach to each child as an individual. Learning is done mostly in small groups and 1:1 settings. We work on what is needed for each individual child to improve and continue pushing the children forward according to their strengths. We look at the whole child to work on individual academic, social-emotional and physical goals. We prioritize being a good human! Tamim Academy Headquarters has researched the best curriculum for each subject. We use Read Write Inc for literacy and Developing Roots and Singapore Math for Mathematics. We assess children using national standardized MAP testing and provide teaching coaches for each subject.

Greenwich Catholic School’s PreK 3 and PreK 4 Programs are unique in many ways. Our curriculum fosters all areas of a child’s development. We balance small and large group learning, structured and independent activities, small and large motor play as well as quiet time. Our preschool children are fully  integrated in our school family. They take part in many of Greenwich Catholic’s enrichment classes such as gym, music, foreign language and art. We use effective teaching approaches that are also developmentally, culturally and linguistically appropriate for young children.

The JCC Preschool at GRS, located at 92 Orchard St, Cos Cob, CT, offers a progressive early education program for children aged 15 months to 5 years, along with a weekly Blooming Babies program for infants to 2-year-olds. Our licensed Pre-K environment emphasizes play, exploration, and holistic development. We offer flexible drop-off options from 2 to 5 mornings a week, along with enriching activities. King School unlocks the power of wonder, and students PreK-12 become agents in their own learning. Starting at age 3, students in our early childhood program explore the world around them through an approach to teaching and learning known as the Reggio Emilia-inspired methodology. This child-centered and self-guided method allows students to explore, make connections, and learn from their environment. Our lower school program is an interactive, hands-on experience that nurtures a love of learning and working with others.

Little Friends is a year round, private early childhood center for children 6wks-5yrs old. We foster an environment of discovery, self-awareness, problem solving and self-esteem in our play centered classrooms. Round Hill Nursery Schoolis an independent nursery school located in the backcountry of Greenwich for over 70 years.
