Greenwich Moms Fall Bucket List | Greenwich Moms

There’s two more months of fall, and we just love this season because there’s so much to do in this area this time of year. Here are 10 FALL FAMILY ACTIVITIES you should put on your shortlist:

Last Call for Apple-Picking
Cross this one off your list soon, since orchards can get pretty bare by mid-October (call ahead to ask what’s available)!  Details: https://greenwichmoms.com/where-to-go-apple-picking/

You can find delicious, easy, 5 Ingredient Apple Dumplings recipe HERE!

Take a Hayride At Sam Bridge
From now until October 26, enjoy this traditional holiday family fun on Fridays and Saturdays. Plus, there are two more Sundays of scarecrow-building!

Give Some Help To  Those Who Are Struggling This Season
Whether it’s dropping gently worn clothing at Neighbor to Neighbor on East Putnam (this time of year, they need winter clothing as well as warm blankets!) or delivering some food to the Connecticut Food Bank at 2283 Main Street in Stamford, there are plenty of small ways to make a big impact on the life of someone in need this time of year.

Get Started On Holiday Shopping at Greenwich Historical Society

November 6 –7, 2019
The annual Holiday Boutique is a thoughtfully curated collection of 35 vendors whose offerings range from monogrammed children’s wear to cozy knitwear, fine jewelry and specialty foods. Find something special for everyone on your list, with a portion of proceeds going to support art and education programs at the Historical Society.

Jump in Leaves
What’s more of a nostalgic memory (or photo opp!) than raking up some leaves and having the kids jump in? (Reminder: ticks are still active this time of year, so just be sure to do a thorough tick check at bath time and consider using a tick service like Mosquito Squad through fall).

Taste the Seasonal Menu at Perfect Provenance
One of our go-tos for lunch (from business meetings to catchups with friends) is Perfect Provenance, where you can shop a curated selection of clothing, jewelry and gifts after you eat. This fall, we’re loving their honeynut squash soup to warm up with on a cold day. They’re accepting reservations now for their Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 chef’s tasting dinners.

Book a Kid-Free Weekend
Whether with your spouse or girlfriends, getting a night or two away from the kids can get you mentally prepared for the holiday craziness that’s just on the horizon. Two favorites of ours for short but memorable getaways are Mayflower Inn and Winvian Farm, both just a few hours away, with beatiful foliage in the fall.
