The Storytime Quartet Presents: The Greenwich Symphony with Tales of Magic and Music

March 3 @ 2:00 pm

MARCH 3, 2pm at Perrot Library
The Storytime Quartet programs blend children’s fairy tales together with classical string quartet music.

Three musical stories are presented each concert and include “The Ugly Duckling” (music by Claude Debussy), Little Red Riding Hood (music by Felix Mendelsshon), and Rumplestiltskin (music by Bela Bartok). Each story is narrated and accompanied with the famous music of classical composers to create an exciting storytelling experience for kindergarten through 3rd grade.

This performance will be narrated by Miss Royer Bockus whose credits include Peter Pan, Oklahoma, Into The Woods, My Fair Lady and The Little Prince.

During each program, the performers engage with the audience, inviting them to ask questions and recognize thematic materials and story plots. The presentation includes colorful, large-screen illustrations for each story, and the string quartet’s instruments are explored and discussed in a fun Q&A segment. The performance runs for 55 minutes.
