Story Barn is a long-standing tradition at the Historical Society, celebrating the fine art of sharing our personal histories. Warm, funny, touching and uplifting, Story Barn sessions are sure to leave participants feeling the warmth of our clever and insightful community. Led by beloved Master of Ceremonies, Bonnie Levison, the evening features stories loosely based on the theme “A Sense of Place.” Let us know if you have a story to share!
Each storyteller shares a short true story on the theme “A Sense of Place”. Stories use this theme as a starting point but it does not have to be taken literally. No prior storytelling experience is needed.
Our beloved Master of Ceremonies, Bonnie Levison, is available to assist with crafting a story. Anyone who is interested in participating as a storyteller should contact Stephanie Barnett at [email protected].
Bonnie Levison has worked as a marketing executive at Young & Rubicam and NBC. She co-founded The Nantucket Comedy Festival in 2008 and produces a variety of comedy shows. Bonnie is a storytelling coach for The Moth, a series of worldwide events in which participants tell their stories to packed crowds without notes on stage.
