Open House: Growing Young Hearts and Minds at The Children’s School
December 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The period from birth to age 8 offers a unique opportunity to build a foundation for good habits: deep curiosity, critical thinking skills, intellectual confidence and respect for others, oneself and the natural world.
That is why The Children’s School has focused on the primary years for over 55 years, with this clear mission: to nurture good habits of heart and mind through individualized lessons and unsurpassed teaching talent. Each student is known, supported and immersed in a curriculum rich in music, art, science, movement, technology, books and a suite of learning materials that beckon children to explore and experiment, which is the basis of all learning for children. At The Children’s School, learning is about much more than academics; it is also about children discovering what they most enjoy, how they learn best and who they are inside. In our classrooms, the emphasis is always on warm and collaborative interactions so that respect becomes integral to a child’s way of being. This is a school where students feel welcome and engaged, eager to explore and to treat others thoughtfully.
We look forward to introducing you to all things TCS, where childhood is the classroom, and joy in learning is a child’s favorite subject.
