Greenwich Library Nonprofit Workshop: Mobilize Your Board to Raise Funds (Online)

Nonprofit board members no longer have the luxury of saying, “I don’t raise funds.” This webinar delivers the tools to incentivize board members and to help them become more comfortable with the fundraising process. It provides an ideal opportunity for nonprofit staffers to participate along with their board members.
Topics covered include: who should and should not be on the board, what policies and structures need to be in place to facilitate board fundraising, how to achieve a state of grantseeking readiness, and how to develop an action plan to move toward a fully engaged board. Specific attention is paid to the various roles board members can and should play vis a vis your organization’s prospects and donors.

Judith Margolin is founder and principal of Needagrant.org. Under a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, she served as Vice President for Planning and Evaluation at Foundation Center (now Candid), the nation’s leading authority on philanthropy. Prior to that position she was Vice President for Public Services at Foundation Center, responsible for oversight of the Center’s five funding information centers and several hundred Cooperating Collection libraries around the nation.
Judith Margolin has devoted her career to philanthropy and is dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations of all sizes and types secure the funding they deserve.
