Explore the history of Tomac Cemetery in this engaging tour with the Greenwich Historical Society and guide Pat Fulkerson Larrabee, Historian of the First Congregational Church of Greenwich. Learn about the historical significance of this burying ground as well as ongoing efforts to maintain and preserve the site. This one-acre cemetery is the oldest existing one in Greenwich. It has 272 known burials, including 29 Revolutionary War veterans and six War of 1812 veterans. Its last burial was in 1904. Many blank fieldstone markers are in the back. Unfortunately, there are no burial records from 1640 – 1717.
