Cos Cob Library Brown Bag Book Club (Online) “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” by Mark Twain

Join us at our longest-running Cos Cob Library book club with facilitator-extraordinaire, Susan Boyar. Each month we read books chosen by Susan that warrant special merit and discussion. New members are always welcome!

Today the group will be discussing The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. Follows the adventures of a boy and a runaway slave as they travel down the Mississippi River on a raft in the mid-nineteenth century. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a nostalgic portrayal of a world Mark Twain knew intimately; it tells the moving story of a boy who must make his own way in an often cruel society that counts it a sin to help a runaway slave.
