Action Arts Summer Camp
Fun camp run by owners Rick & Jacqui Zimmerman. Camp is held inside in safe, air conditioned buildings with lunch and breaks outside on our patio. Half or full day of camp available. Each week is different so campers can do one to nine weeks. June 22-August 21.  Ages 4&1/2-12. Choice of Art, Lego, Karate, or Combine for full day. Excellent adult supervision.  Space is limited so register early. Early drop off and late pick up available.
Art: Ages 5-12 (4&1/2 considered):  1 to 11 weeks; Mon.-Fri. 10:00-1:00 or 12:00 -3:00. This camp is for the creative child who loves art. Kids learn to mix colors, draw, paint on canvas, and more. AM/PM camps are different, so full day campers won’t get bored. Add Lego, more art, or Karate for longer day.
Lego: Ages 4&1/2-12; 1 to 11 weeks; Mon-Fri: 12:00-3:00. Campers relax, build and play with Lego. Instructors encourage creativity and imagination. Lego builds more than just buildings; they build minds and friendships too. Kids will take a break to play games in our gym. Add Art or Karate for longer day.
Karate: Ages 5-11;  1 to 11 weeks; Mon-Fri 10:00-1:00 Camp held in Old Greenwich Karate gym, a safe, air conditioned environment. This camp is for the active child who wants to learn Karate and play Sensei Rick’s fun games. Add Art or Lego for longer day.

Arts & crafts, field trip to Island Beach, games and beach activities planned with an emphasis on promoting sportsmanship, commitment, respect,  and kindness.  Sample activities include scavenger hunts, kindness games, dance party, sidewalk chalk, classic games, water balloon games, kite flying and more.  Each child receives a t-shirt and an outdoor experience they will never forget!
NEW! This year we will be integrating the activities into sessions based on the values of sportsmanship, respectfulness, honesty, and kindness. We are thrilled to partner with the award-winning book, The SMART Playbook!  Our improved activities  will integrate SMART games from the books to help children gain confidence, character, and empathy. For all registered campers, all appropriate paperwork must be turned in by May 29th, 2017 or child will NOT be permitted in camp. If you register after May 29th, all paperwork must be filled out immediately after registration and turned in!
Tennis
Each participant will learn a different stroke daily. This camp includes instruction on the forehand, backhand, serve and volley. There is also an optional cross-training component to this camp to facilitate coordination as well as improve endurance. Games such as soccer and kickball will be played. Children will receive a minimum of 2 hours of on-court instruction each day. Children should bring a small nut-free snack each day.
