Cardinal Baseball Camp

Camp in 2022 is in session for its 20th summer. Former Greenwich High School Head Baseball Coach of 16 seasons, Mike Mora, and his staff provide a fun learning environment, while stressing the fundamentals of baseball. Skills and drills begin at 9:00am and a game is played daily from 10:45-12:00noon when campers are to be picked up.

On a daily basis, campers receive instruction in how to throw with the proper form. Proper catching tips are given at this time as well.  Coach Mora believes that “Throwing and catching are the most important parts of the game at any level of baseball.  If players can throw the ball where they want to, without hurting themselves, they have given themselves the chance to be very successful.”

During the skills stations, campers are taught the finer points of the game. The campers rotate through stations such as: pitching, base- running, catching, infield, outfield, hitting, and bunting.  Some days this time is spent on infield/outfield practice when the campers learn where to throw the ball during certain key game situations. Games are played daily after drills.

Camp Playland in New Canaan

Enrollment is closed for 2022, but Camp Playland is looking for great staff!! Camp Playland is a place where children feel physically and emotionally safe. We strive to create a unique environment where every camper feels a sense of belonging, learns life-long skills and forges lasting relationships with their peers and counselors. Everything that happens at Playland has one core ingredient: FUN! Good Friends + Fun Times = Great Memories! We offer a skill development program that enables each child to grow and learn at their own level. Every camper is encouraged to develop new skills and to grow mentally, emotionally, socially and physically. Campers are encouraged to try new activities but are never forced to participate. Each child’s self-esteem is nurtured as an individual and as part of a group.
