“Fish Tales” – Story Time at The Maritime Aquarium | Greenwich Moms

Toddlers and their parents or caregivers can enjoy stories, songs and other activities during “Fish Tales” on Wednesday mornings from 10:15 to 11 a.m. in The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. Offered in the Aquarium’s “Ocean PlaySpace” and in partnership with the Norwalk Public Library, each “Fish Tales” features stories, songs and games that encourage children’s emerging language skills, followed by a playtime.
“Fish Tales” are free with Aquarium admission and are open to children age 5 and under and who are able to sit quietly with their grown-up. A caregiver must be present. Limited to the first 20 children on a first-come, first-served basis. “Fish Tales” supports the “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” national reading initiative, which encourages parents and caregivers to … well, read 1,000 books to a child before his or her first day of kindergarten. Many participating local programs, such as the Norwalk Public Library, have milestone rewards built in for those who register online at www.1000booksbeforekindergarten.org.
